I have built the controller and it is working very well. I do have a problem, however
I cannot seem to get a clean drop without small drops following on. I have tried various scenarios
Plain water, thickened water, milk
Various heights of the solenoid
Various heights from reservoir to solenoid
Various drop sizes (10s to 40s)
All combinations give the same problem
I have come to the conclusion it is the solenoids not cosing fast enough.
I am using cheap ($6.00) solenoids from ebay.
If I am sure it is the solenoids I will buy better ones.

Without seeing the valve or the nozzles I can only speculate that either the valve is slow to close or the nozzle edge is not clean (burs etc).

I have 4 solenoids and 4 brass nozzles. The nozzles do not appear to have any issues and i can’t believe all four would have the same problem.
I am now fairly sure I bought poor quality solenoids.
I think I will buy one of yours and more if it solves my problem.
What would be your shipping cost for one solenoid to Ontario and how do I go about buying one

For a single valve it is about US$10 to ship to Canada.
What valves do you have ?
Have to cleaned/serviced them?

They are no name brands
Three are in a plastic housing and one in an aluminium housing. They are virtualy unused but I did take them appart and they are as clean as a whistle.
I checked the specs. the plastic ones do not give a response time but the aluminium one has a response time of 50 ms. I thik this is much too slow. The Skao valve has a reponse time of 20ms i believe
