Hi has any one a pcb layout for this project

Hi Martyn ,
On old topic but maybe this request is still valid.
I’m doing pcb design as a profesion .
I could make a pcb but it will take me some time to finish it.just send me an email if you are interested.
Rgds,

Hi Luc,
I have sent you an email.

Hi Martyn, Luc
What a coincedence. About 2 weeks ago I came across this website and forum because I want to start with droplet photography. I read the topic about making a PCB and I designed one. Last week I ordered 10 PCB’s and I expect them to recieve them in the next 3 weeks.
Maybe we can work together?
Regards,
René

Hi René,
Indeed what a coincidence.
I agree to work together if necessary but will wait till I have cleared out some things with Martyn. (Our posts where crossing each other and had in the meanwhile some conversation with Martyn).Rgds,

Hi Luc,
No problem.

Hello Theo,
That is a very nice design. I send my design to Martyn last week for review. I ordered 10 boards in China and they should turn up in the next few weeks.
What are the dimensions of your board?
Regards René

if i’m corect these were 17×15 cm, orderd some other boards from jplc las week and had them in a week.
this board is on a hold because, first i need all the parts, seems that some parts are diff. to order, the reason for this is, that sometimes you order a part and they send a replacement, that somewhat different with another footprint, once the board is made you have no option then modify the part to fit.
if i have all the parts i can make a correction to the pcb if something is wrong -

update of pcb to the latest mod (schematic), removed the buck converter swap this to 2 seperate voltage inputs, 5v and 12v for the selonoid’s

HI Theo,
it looks like you have vcc and gnd connected to the same pin on the manual drain switches.
I presume not all traces are shown in the image.

Theo BostersGuest
Hi martyn.
Not all the traces are shown, just the top site.
Butt could you point out what you mean maybe i’m overlooking somethinghttps://www.flickr.com/photos/panchozya/46438670205/in/dateposted-public/

BTW. the valve (shown as grey), is de VCC, thats what’s in the rca jack’s i’m using. looking at youre schematic the drain from de mosfet is conected to the anode from the 1n4007 that’s leading to the GND of the rca jack????

where it say GND, is actualy the GND, not showing on the screenshot because i turned off the copper area, if i turned it back on you can see that GND is conected to the GND……

re-routed the trace’s so it match more youre design, let me know if this is better?

What a coincidens, today i was testing my board.
everything seems to be working except the BT.
tried everythig but still not working, i even seperated the BT section and placed it to a sep. bredboard with only the tx and rx conected to the arduino (pin A4/A5 with the voltage divider on the BB), and still not working.
BT is working with other test PRG’s butt nott with the dropcontroller.
Looks lik there is no fault with the pcb board ???????

Evening,
Between other projects I too managed to complete and test my PCB.
I had no problems with the BT. Connecting and changing the name was very easy.
Next 3 weeks I have no time. Next step is to order some valves.Regards,
René
@Martyn: Did you get my email about 2 weeks ago?-

Hi Theo,
I viewed your video a couple of times but I can’t see it very good. What are the values of the 2 resistors that create the voltage divider (R23/R24) and what is the BT VCC?

Hi rene the value of the resitor is resp. 1k and 2k, the voltage on the BT is 3.09 volts

Hi Theo
I don’t have FB but my wife has. So the voltage divider is correct but the VCC is, I think, on the low side. On the back of my BT-module power should be between 3.6V and 6V. It seems not a lot but the difference is quite big.

@ René. Just found your email in the Junk folder. Along with some others that are about the dropController. Will reply separately.

@René.
The voltage divider is for the serial Arduino TX to BT RX connection.
The actual Bluetooth module (the small daughter-board) is a 3.3v device. Most HC-0xs have regulators on the breakout board to bring down vcc to 3.3v (this is why they canaccept up to 6v) but they do not convert the TX or RX pins which are still 3.3v. The voltage divider steps down the Arduino TX 5v pin to around 3.3v. A 5v Arduino sees 3.3v as HIGH so there is no need to upstep the 3.3v BT TX pin and it can be connected directly to the Arduino RX pin.

checking the voltage again, the voltage on the RX of the BT = 3.42 volt,
on the Rx = 4.96 volt.-
Theo BostersGuest
Rx = TX side, the voltage mesured when lead to TX is not conected (arduino pin A4), when BT lead to TX is conected the voltage is 3.4 volt.

Just measured the VCC on the BT and that is 5,06V. According to several datasheets the VCC-range is between 3,3V and 6V. 3,09V is a little bit to low.

Thnx for not pointing out that i was using the wrong (old) app.
could be a great project if the update and respons was better.
goddamn searching for more than 2 days what could be wrong ;-(
sorted it out finaly -

Hi Theo,
no need to thank me. It’s all part of the service 😉
